well earlier today my truck owner mentioned that he would like to sell the truck and is giving me first chance.
2001 fl70
22'box 96" tall inside the header, 50" sleeper, fridge, mw, sink, tv/dvd player.
single axle, 6 speed reman cat only 2 years old and not many miles on, apu etc.

well the right side drives need to be replaced and it appears all the tires are steers. i have heard that kelly are good and so are coopers. bridgestone comes with a road squad for assistance. any suggestions on the brand of new steers the truck will need if i buy the truck and rotate the current steers to the left?

You need basically identical tires on each axle. If 1 or more are significantly different in tread depth that is a problem. Also, if you run full winter you should consider lug tires on the drives. Michelin, Goodyear and Bridgestone are the ones I'd choose between personally.

Michelin XZE or Bridgestone R250 both good tires for that spec. Both also will run out as summer drives if you choose to do so later. Can't recommend any cheap steers, never liked to scrimp on the most important tires.;)

I've had good luck with Firestones. got 150K out of last set of FS690 steer's, have Firestone open shoulder lug tires on the drives all approaching 130 K with almost 1/2 tread left.

Someone else may have already said most of this:

-Get an alignment before new tires go on.
-If you run snow & ice territory get rid of the steers on the drives.
-Tires on each axle should be identical in terms of wear, size & brand.
-Michelin has their OnCall program for road assistance.
-We run Michelin's all around: steers in front, lugs in back. No retreads.

It won't be cheap, but you will be safely set for a while.
