WAY TO GO SPEEDCO!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had just pulled into the Western Branch Detroit Diesel Service when my phone rang, it was Speedco. They talked with me for a few minutes and then told me that they would pay to have the pan re-tapped. They said that they think the main problem is the Mercedes use of an aluminum pan and steel plug, but, since it was not leaking before I came in and it was now that they would fix the problem. I had not even had a chance to call them about it. THEY CONTACTED ME!!! I am VERY impressed!!!!!

Also, if you ever need Detroit Diesel work done in Charleston WV, contact Western Branch Diesel, Inc. They put me ahead of all thier other work and had me out in under two hours. Very professional shop. They are easy to talk with. They are located on MacCorkle Ave in the indutrial park. Phone #is 304 744-1511. The shop forman is Rick Hammonds.

This adventure turned out WAY better than I hoped it would. Thanks to everyone on EO, my former owner, Speedco stepping up so quickly and Western Branch Diesel service, we only lost 3 hours of service time. Un-real. This is how all problems should work out. Now I can relax and wait for the wonderful *BEEP* on the C-Lick. Layoutshooter

Did you end up then just having the Oil Pan retapped? Bob thought if you did that and used a valve it might keep this from happening again. Sure glad you re posted what SpeedCo did for you. Nice Job of them!!

Yes we did a re-tap. I am going to put on a Femco drain plug system. No one will ever have to take out a plug again. Yes, Speedco did a GREAT jog for me. Layoutshooter.

I had a problem with Speedco the first time I went to them. They stepped right up and did the right thing with me too. It speaks well of them and I continue to use them.

This is the same level of service I got from Speedco when I had a problem. I'm glad to hear it's still that way.
