I just spent an hour trying to find a method of eliminating water spots when washing my truck or car. I read about ionizing, microtowels, car dry washes, rinses, and where and when to wash it. Over the years I've used about everything out there. The trouble with most of the commercial methods is, it can get expensive, and time consuming. I read one post from a guy that recommends borax and vinegar. I know you can get the spots off in many ways, if you want to rinse two or three times, or dry twice, or more. What I'm looking for is a one time wash and rinse and let it air dry clean. I used to live in Florida when I was younger and I had a Corvette, that was a real skirt machine. When it would rain, I'd grab a rag and go out in the rain and wash her down, and then the rain would rinse it. Never a spot. I took that technique with me on the road, and carried a long handled big brush strapped across the catwalk. When the rain would come, if I was at a truckstop. or waiting somewhere, I'd get out there and wash down my tractor. People thought I was a little eccentric to say the least in both cases, but it worked great!
