I have worked in the expedite industry before and got out of it and now thinking of going back in and was wondering if anyone could give information on Universal Freight Services out of Romulus, Mi. I saw somewhere where someone had posted that they were closed for business but then got a message from a job site saying they were looking for employees and owner operators. Thanks in advance for any information.

I don't know about UFS - but I can say there are some outstanding companies that are looking for drivers and O/o's here: Expedited Trucking - Expedite Trucks, Owner Operator Jobs

Thanks Lawrence, I use to be a sub contractor for a guy in with Allstate Express. It was nice seeing the country but the owner and I had a falling out.

I would be careful and do your research. If no one has ever heard of them, there is likely a reason.
We have seen over the last couple of years, no name companies that drivers hook up with only for the carrier to go under. And of course, they leave the driver high and dry and open under another name leaving the driver owed thousands.
