What appears in the surface looks good but you got to look at the history of the candidate. I can’t really consider Paul for a number of reasons and I will give only two.

He like others are in a position to introduce legislation about the issues he speaks about. Like Obama and Hillary, he has issues on his web site for example eminent domain, and with a statement like this “Today, we face a new threat of widespread eminent domain actions as a result of powerful interests who want to build a NAFTA superhighway through the United States from Mexico to Canada†is really off base and not focus on the real cause for Kelo v New London or the fact that eminent domain case had absolutely nothing to do with NAFTA but Pfizer and their need to control things.

Also Iraq is clearly on his web site with this comment “The war in Iraq was sold to us with false information†but fails to mention anything about introducing legislation to declare war on Iraq in October 2002 and then said he would not vote for his own bill. First lets be consistent here, introducing a bill and refusing to vote for it would be a great political ploy but it wasn’t spun to make it look like it was abandon and it was not used to make a real political statement to his constituents – missed opportunity. Also if we were sold a bill of goods on Iraq, where has he been with the information about it like the others? I mean these guys all knew what was in the reports, where is the proof to back up the statement?

These are two of about 15 issues.

I would want to see instead of actually saying what a candidate would do as president (like Obama and some of his rather fantasy comments) and posting all this stuff about their position about some issue, I would rather like to see a candidate say here are the issues, here is my record and here is what I introduced and what I did for my constitutes before anything else. This would show the people the seriousness of the candidate, which I really think after hearing about Obama’s need for money to counter criticism and the in-depth analysis of his statements; I think he (Obama) would make a bad president.
