To all of you out there I may be what some of ya say a rookie but, This rookie came to your Federation and took your Coveted 4 Star Award by Storm the first Year. Somthing that I was told couldn't be done and was impossible to do not just doing so during the first year but 10 months time frame to boot. Long story short 12 months with FedEX 10 Months driving the Truck that won.

Now FedEX to me Is a great COMPANY and GOD Bless it.

For all of you out there if I see ya out on the road god bless ya.

For any of you non belivers If you want the 4star award take all every load they give you. Stay loaded and stay in service and be safe.

Everyone makes mistakes and accidents are bound to happen that is a given. No one is Perfect. Just do the best you can.

Like what was stated at the awards everyone in one way or another is a 4Star, We are all doing the same job out here. As the saying goes the Navy get the Gravy and the Army gets the Beans.

Well Im not on no Flag ship but I Scouted and came up with a plan and set it in motion and prevailed. Just to let you know somthing you can too.

2006 was my year to shine and I did, I have my sights set on 2008 Then I will once again rise to the occasion and be part of the elite of Fedex.

God Bless All of Ya Truck Drivers out there and God Bless All the Wonderful People at FEDEX As well.

I wonder what I am going to say to FOX News for there story Retired Navy S During first year of Retirement Takes Coveted FedEX 4-Star award 1st year driving for the CO. how did he do it. Believe me it will blow your mind away.

Thank you for sharing your accomplishment. Imagine that! A rookie with no previous experience enters the business and immediately rises to top production levels and is recognized for doing so.

There is a lesson in that, one for experienced drivers to learn. Just as there are veterans who can outperform rookies, there are rookies who can outperform veterans. It is unwise to dissuade an eager industry prospect because he or she has no experience. Good research and preparation can take a rookie far. Indeed, good research and preparation can take a rookie instantly to the top!

Ok Silver dollar don't even go there!!!!!
You know some are proud to do what they are doing out on the road, and that is what makes em good. And those that are happy doing this are the ones that makes our companies a success.

I don't care who you are contracted with be it Panther Fedx Tri-State or which one it is those out there doing a good job are those that are making expediters what it is today.

Those of you that all you do is complain about what you do please leave find something that you might be happy with.

Congratulations on your win. But for us the 4 star award is not an incentive for us to take every load they offer. We, like most people here, strive to provide excellent service to the customers and to the company we are leased. However, the bottom line for us is revenue. If it's not profitable we won't take the load. Because it's not the award that will pay for fuel, truck payments and repairs but if you need the accolades.....go for it. Not sure taking every load would be the most profitable? But having a second income (retirement & health insurance) surely doesn't hurt either.

What is it you drive? Not sure we recognize your name and seeing you at the 4-star.
Going to have to disagree on one of your comments.
There where several first year drivers at the awards as where there many drivers that have been at the awards several times. First, you do NOT have to take every load offered, how unprofitable is that? With the money we would have lost taking every load offered we could have paid for our own trip to the Bahamas. You are right though staying in service and being safe if very important but that is an every day thing not just trying to achieve the award. There where almost 300 trucks that earned the 4-star award. We where just one of many.

Congrats are in order,

Been on with the X since march, have very good numbers and a 4 Star Award, and my bottom line sucked, had to back away from the taking every load and be more selective. Was proud to have made the accomplishment and Congrats to all the winners, it does take a high level of disipline and dedication along with some business savy.

Congratulations on your win.I agree there is something special about doing it in a short term in your rookie year. I have had four so far and the first one will always be the best,especially when you hear the "you can't do it in less then a year speech" If you don't mind my asking how many runs did you have for the year?Again congrats and I'll look for you in Vegas...

I was at the awards. But Im not a owner operator. The guy that got the coodos dont even drive for FEDEX he is just a fleet owner.
Let me put this in perspective I drive for Ilum INC or other know as Bill Govan.
He was anounced 1st as the fleet owner
I was anounced as the Driver.
Yes I was there. It Rained, I went parasailing with my Wife while there.

Yes your right taking every load somethimes isnt the best monie. I did that so that I have a better shot at winning in other words I got more loads. I stayed in service. ect. God Bless ya and your wife hope this helps.
