This is creative advertising at it's best! It leaves you in awe at the feat performed and impressed with the Volvo Dynamic Steering system.
Actually, no. One of the main points in the demonstration is the steering stability to deliver startling new control of the vehicle. Going in reverse you can steer like that with a trailer, but only if you have an incredibly steady hand at the wheel.
He didn't do it without a net, so to speak, though. There was some safety equipment (wiring harness) digitally removed from the video. This was shot in one take.

The last time I felt this uncomfortable was when I heard they were eating bugs on tv.
The truck fishtailing as the driver was lining up for his run at the head was a nice touch!
