Anyone know anything about USF Holland? Good/Bad company? Pay? I live near Dayton, OH. I know they have a terminal here. I see alot of daycabs on the highway. Do they just run locally? Thanks.

Zanico:

They do local pick up and delivery, also line haul from terminal to terminal. I am not sure if they are a union company or not, I do know that they were bought out by another large company. They usually pay by the hour.

So check with them and see where you go. Go straight to the horses mouth, so to speak.

I believe USF Holland and USF Glenn Moore are owned by Yellow-Roadway. Which is union. (Teamsters) But, that doesnt mean the USF subsidiaries are though.

A USF driver and his wife has been staying in touch with Diane and me over the years as they prepare to launch a team expediting career of their own when their kids are grown and gone. More than most drivers, he is very aware of his company's history and issues. He has been with them several years and seems happy there. E-mail me if you wish and I'll put you in touch with him. He'll be happy to tell you everything you want to know about USF.

USF is a large corporation much like FedEx. It has many companies under the USF corporate umbrella. There are at least two regional LTL carriers, Holland and Dugan. Also there are truck load, logistics and Canadian carriers. When you say someone works for USF, you should be more specific.

Sorry. USF was shorthand. All I'm saying is my friend knows the company. He has worked for a couple of the divisions and keeps up with things there. This is simply an offer to put my friend in touch with the original poster who was asking about the company. Myself, I know little about it. Just trying to help.
