People up here, auto parts manufacturers in particular, are complaining about the strength of the Canadian Looney. They prefered when it was worth about 65 cents US.
It makes things a little cheaper in the grocery stores though.
Most of our fresh produce comes from Cali or Florida.
I suggest that American drivers who come here frequently get a float of around 20 or 40 dollars Canadian. You can change your money when you're up here. The US buck is readily accpted everywhere except vending machines). Look for a store called Money Mart. Their exchange isn't quite as good as a bank but they have longer hours.
Take your float in tooneys (2 dollar coins).
That will let you use vending machines.
