Why are we in Irag fighting when we leave our southern borders wide open. This is another way to weaken the trucken industries. The 17-19 cents per mile that the Mexicans get will hurt all. We need to call our congress men and women and tell them if they do goodby for them to Washington. Just think the trucks they will bring over , aka condition of

You know chuck, I have a change of heart about this subject.

I witnessed some really bad behavior from two truckers right in front of me and the truck stop management, the company they drive for and the cops here don’t care and surely no trucker watching this cared enough to go and complain.

I am to the point that until we see these truckers get off their lazy a** and do something for themselves, it won’t change. I am not going to do anything for them; I am worn out with the stupidity and the ignorance I have to see every day. I came to the conclusion outside of a few people who understand and get it, many of them just don’t care anyway. I also agree with some critics of the industry who point out the lack of education and proper training is one reason we are losing the battle with the companies on these issues.

I mean it does not take a rocket scientist to understand our government or how it works or that their vote does really mean something and everyone knows it is going to be a problem regardless what is hidden or not talked about. The people who will benefit the most are the companies who already have their feet planted in Mexico, no one else. They will do what ever it takes to control the situation and make the money.

As I look around here and see a few people who care enough about this subject but for everyone who does something about it, like write or call their representatives, there are 10 more who don’t care – so let it happen, let the rate drop next to nothing and let them cry, the only one they can blame is themselves for it when they lose their job.

But would it not effect all in trucking from Cargo vans to Big Rigs? I say it would. Think about the typical drivers from Mexico, Hardly speak English, driving rigs unsafe, a danger to all who are on the road. You and My children, our loved ones, Shame that this administration is bed fellows with Mexico.

yes it would effect all of us, just like the expansion of the H-1b visa hurt IT or the tax loopholes that were put in the tax codes in the 90's that allowed expanding outsourcing off shore, all of it hurt.

It is not shame on the administration; it is shame on us for allowing it to happen. Simply put the recent complaint by the Senate about “how dare they we from the people†over the 'immigration reform bill' is just a small example of what we should be doing, not the exception. But who is to blame for the trucking problem, surely not you or I, we see the cause and effect of the issue but the guy who wants to drive but does not want the responsibility of learning the system, registering to vote and voting – he wants everyone else to do something for him. I say too bad bucko, it is time you got out of the cab and get going if you worry about your job.

I also have to add something that I heard on the radio today. It seems that people think that it is the schools responsibility to teach the kids about our government and some are starting to complain about it. Alright I do agree that they need to teach this stuff, but I do not believe in anyway that it is the schools responsibility 100%, the parents yes but the individual is 100% responsible to learn what it is all about.

To put it in other words, register to vote, Vote every chance you get and learn who represents you and tell them how you feel.
