UPS strike ...?

I wouldn’t think this would be too disruptive.
This is the old Overnight Freight operation.
The other LTL carriers should be able to pick up the slack.
Also, I’m not sure how many of the UPS Freight terminals are even Union.
They also used to have a lot of non-union O/Os.
Having been a union O/O at one time I wonder if they ever attempted to unionize the O/O group.

There must not be any old Overnite drivers left or they forgot what living through a 3 year strike is like. I would guess that UPS has deeper pockets, greater power and more stubbornness than Union Pacific had back then. UP was probably looking to sell off Overnite anyway. Maybe with the economy humming along and extremely low unemployment the Teamsters have an excellent chance of getting their demands met. Or the invaders headed to our southern border could take your jobs. Good luck guys if you decide to walk out and I hope it doesn't get violent.

I went through a strike with Roadway in the 90’s.
No violence. Of course LEOs were very well organized and had a plan.

Customers could get freight out of Yellow in the am.
After lunch The forces moved a few miles south to allow customers to get frieght off our docks.
We were very cordial to our customers. After all, they’re our customers.
Truckers that showed up decided to turn around and leave.
Do you think the Illinois State Police helicopter made us appear to be more of a threat than we really were?
In reality it was more of a time of fellowship and bonding.
Comical too when a VP drove in and was quesitioned about his daughters. His name ?
Paul Blower. Write your own joke.....
