UPS and FEDEX

I've been thinking about something and maybe someone has an answer or thought. It seems like buster brown spends alot of time and money trying to keep up with fedex. So i wonder why they haven't started an expedite divison of their own. I just thought they might would get in in an effort to keep up with the joneses.
Another this is a couple of days ago in ill I saw a fedex custom critical tractor pulling a set of fedex ground doubles. I wonder what that was all about. Maybe it's common for one side to help the other or maybe the custom critical truck signed on with ground, but the truck was blue and I know ground requires them to be white. I don't know. But maybe someone will.

Brown bought an expediting company last year. Ran into one of their contractors back in Feb and he was showing me the places he went for UPS - wow! But brown is brown and I don't think they had a movie made abou them yet.

As for ground being white only, well I have been considering going there and ran across a contractor in Ashville last month - his truck was green. He said they made an exception because it was rather new. I have seen them Red and even blue, but the requirments are white.

Probably Fedex Ground had a tractor break down and they turned to C Critical to bail them out.

UPS does have their expedite arm. Like many of us, we ask other organizations to help us out. They ask me to help, and I ask them to help. Cooperation.

Wow - I thought the shirts were a joke, but if FedEx & UPS really did merge, maybe not!:+

Yes, last year UPS bought Emery Expedite, or rather the new Menlo Expedite. M.E. was not just a carrier, but a forwarder. I saw a UPS Expedite D-Unit some time back. My opinion, but it seems that that side of UPS is more interested in growing themselves as an all inclusive 3PL than just growing a big expediter fleet. But that may change....

Those shirts can be found at a chain T shirt joint. I am sorry I can't think of the name. Actually it is not a shirt chain they sell all kinds cloths but have a big selection of ts. There is one in the mall in Springdale, Ohio right off I 275.

My Son in Law still runs ground for FE and that truck could be making the move to ground or Freight or as RichM said breakdown called in. CC and the other divisions are very much like different companies so I am sure it was a move or breakdown situation.

Like Raseman I was thinking the same.
Maybe the CC owner signed on as a ground owner.

In any case both divisions use O/Os to pull the freight.
