Turbo Problem Detroit 60

Need help quick Please! Driving a 98 Freightliner Classic XL with a Detroit 60 series. Had some problems with turbo not going over 8 psi. Found large break in a hose - repaired that and put on new turbo because other had blade damage. Then found that the intercooler was blown on one whole side, so replaced that and also put in a new turbo sensor. Now the turbo will kick in and gets up to 10 psi then loses all power/boost. After take off it works again up to 10 psi. Before I still had some pressure (only about 8 psi) but now it looses it all. Out of money at this point - truck has been down for over a week now - any thoughts/ideas would be helpful.

Yea but you are not going to like it.

Bring it to a dealer and have them run the ecm through the computer to see the details of the error codes and have them look for leaks.

Take it to an Detroit Engines shop , not to the Freightliner dealer.
Ask Barak for money , he is giving it away...

Had a feeling it was looking that way. One other odd thing that happened - the hose that goes from the left side of the intercooler to the intake has a coiled wire inside of it. This wire usually runs the length of the hose. After first test run the wire was all the way down to the bottom of the hose ( intake end). Just to check, we pulled it back up the hose (twice). On one run it was again coiled down at bottom of hose, on other run it didn't move. It's not like that spring moves freely through that hose. Talked to someone at Freightliner and they said that if that spring isn't in place the hose will shut and cut off the turbo - of course, they also want $250 for the hose. We found out last night that this truck has went through a total of 5 turbos - did not know that when we bought it!
