If you don't mind running intra-Canada or back and forth between the Mid-Western US and Canada, they're fine. However, they don't have much of a presence south of the Mason-Dixon line. They also have a fair amount of moves in and out of the Cincinnatti area for Ford.

Thanks for the info.

I was told that if you don't want to go to Canada, you don't have to. That they have two separate fleets, US and Canada. From what you're saying I imagine if you don't want to go to Canada too much, you're gonna really cut your revenues.

You're right on the money with that observation - and you definitely won't make much with TST unless you take Canadian freight.

I have never heard anything negitive from drivers I have talked to that for them but I have heard from some companies that they really have low balled a number of bids to get the contracts. If that is true the numbers that I heard would say they are either not making much on those contracts of they are paying lower rates to the drivers.I will say that the drivers I have talked to seem to be happy. The ones I talked to are more dedicated but I would just be sure and compare rates to other companies.

I'd like to point out that only Canadian citizens can do INTRA Canada runs.

I don't know whether it would cut your revenues or not, but TST is a Canadian company who do a lot of work for the Big 3.
I know that at one time they were doing work for Toyota as well.
They are a Canadian based company.
Canadian drivers lease on to TST out of Windsor Ontario
American drivers lease on to TS out of Detroit.
Check page two of Rene Buron's collection at Hanks Truck Pictures for current operations at TNT/TST.

They used run as OLEX and TNT Taxi Truck.
I hope this gives you some information.

I ran for them for a short time. They seemed ok and I was very busy but it seemed like most of their runs ran somewhere between Toronto and Chicago on the I94 - 401 corridor. I ran 70%+ Canada runs. Got tired of the border stuff real fast. Their per mile rate was on the low side compared to the top 3. Haul lots of Hazmat. I'd say 90% automotive.
