Earlier this week I dredged up an older thread about escrow and it has taken off. There are many of us on EO that have taken the time to read the "fine" print of our leases and leads me to ask a couple of questions. As a contractor, do you understand the Federal regulations regarding the lease with your carrier? Are you familiar with the "truth in leasing" regulations? Do you hold your carrier up to the same standards of operations that the carrier holds you to? And finally, is there anytime where a DOT governed carrier is NOT subject the FMCSA leasing regulations?
