Isn't the internet amazing and scary at the same time:D
Yes, it is, especially when you consider that most of the item on that list are, in fact, false. There are a few that are true (average lifespan of a housefly is, indeed about a month), but the vast majority of these things are typical "Internet Truths" that aren't true.

#17, Ostriches don't stick their heads in the sand at all, ever, for any reason, yet we now have a factual explanation why they do. Gotta luv the Internet.

#10, The modern toothbrush was invented in 1938, but the idea in various incarnations has been around since 3000 BC.

#2, Unless Alfred Hitchcоck is some kind of nickname for a man named Adam who lived in the Garden of Eden, he had a belly button.

#1, Apples are indeed more efficient than caffeine at waking you up in the morning, provided someone is throwing apples at your face until you fully wake up.

#18, Besides rabbits and parrots, there is quite a laundry list of animals which can see behind themselves without turning their head, including most rodents, spiders, flatfish rays, some jellyfish, shellfish (clams) geckos, chameleons, houseflies, dragonflies, damselflies, and, of course, most people's mother.

3, A pack-a-day smoker will lose approximately 2 teeth every 10 years, assuming the smoker is also a hockey player from Canada. While smokers do tend to have fewer teeth than those who have never smoked, 2 every 10 is an invented statistic.

21, Says that "In most television commercials advertising milk, a mixture of white paint and a little thinner is used in place of the milk," which is not true, because in all television (or any other) commercial advertising any edible food product, the product depicted in the ads must be edible. Most milk commercials use actual milk, but those that don't (Got Milk?) use heavy cream or some combination of milk and cream.

24, Umbilical cords are not used in any kind of transplant surgery at all, especially vein transplants. Cord blood and stem cells are sometimes collected from umbilical cords, but that's it.

Many "prey animals and birds" have 360 vision. It is one of their main defenses. Nuns also have 360 vision and can float. They can cross entire classrooms without making a sound to smack a kid that was acting up. I know. I have been smacked by a floating nun with 360 vision. She had a ruler in a holster on each hip.
