That could be the carrier doesn't a competing carrier's lettering delivering their freight. If the customer expects, say, a Panther truck, and an XPO truck shows up, that could be bad. But if one with no lettering shows up, not a big deal.
I understood that to be the case. It just caught me off guard because I've never been asked that question before.
Also, my Sprinter does have lettering & decals ....
. I emailed over a photo & I guess it passed the sniff test, so I got the load.
I bought my Sprinter from a freight forwarder that was using it for local deliveries & outgrew it. Adcom Worldwide. When I got it home, I whipped out my heat gun, carefully peeled off the word Adcom on each side of the van, along with his address on each door ...... & I was in business!
Honestly, it looks pretty legit. I'm sure it helps at guard shacks, border patrol checkpoints & border crossings.
