That could be the carrier doesn't a competing carrier's lettering delivering their freight. If the customer expects, say, a Panther truck, and an XPO truck shows up, that could be bad. But if one with no lettering shows up, not a big deal.

I understood that to be the case. It just caught me off guard because I've never been asked that question before.
Also, my Sprinter does have lettering & decals .... o_O. I emailed over a photo & I guess it passed the sniff test, so I got the load.
I bought my Sprinter from a freight forwarder that was using it for local deliveries & outgrew it. Adcom Worldwide. When I got it home, I whipped out my heat gun, carefully peeled off the word Adcom on each side of the van, along with his address on each door ...... & I was in business! :D
Honestly, it looks pretty legit. I'm sure it helps at guard shacks, border patrol checkpoints & border crossings.
Oh, you work for ... Worldwide? Yep .... lol
If ya ever see a Sprinter with a huge globe decal on both sides of the tail end .... that's me:cool:

That's not a bad idea. Having these companies not loading and unloading freight with out companies/ logos on there vans.

The other day I was going 70W and couple of sprinters with logos, several more without them. I was surprised I saw that much sprinters in that one stretch. Don't know if they were loaded or empty.

On my most recent trip to the left coast and back, I would say about 80% of the cargo vans and sprinters that either passed me or I passed them or going the other way on the freeway (ones I could see) did not have markings on them.

I have been questioned about my name many times and they were very confused when I explained it !ImageUploadedByEO Forums1461542612.421268.jpg

Well like any rule. Enforcement varies. But the rule exists none the less.
Exactly....I was once signed on with a fella who didn't care for too many policies.....when I asked about only a 1/2 page contract.....he said policies tend to get bent at times....:p
