Transit transmission

Any of you replaced transmission in a Transit with an used one? Need computer reprograming or just ok replacing it ? Thank you .

Not sure about reprogramming, but it’s exactly the same transmission as an F150. That should be easy to find.

If you do buy a "Used " Transit transmission, just make sure it was "Never " submerged in water ... A common practice among certain Transit Owners..

How many miles on your Transit? Have you owned this Transit since new?

At the very least the computer will have to be told to "learn" the new transmission. On a GM I know that requires a scan tool and several hundred miles of driving before it shifts right.
