Please be on the look out for a stolen tractor-trailer in the Detroit area last seen 1/18 at 8pm at the MATCO truck Stop in Romulus Mi. The truck is a light blue Freightliner condo (purchased from Werner 2 months ago) Mi. plate #RA75750, with a 53' Wabash reefer trailer with stainless front and rear, and white sides. The number on the truck is 2817, and the number on the trailer is ECT01. The truck has a very exspensive cargo, and we need to find it very soon. The truck is still believed to be in the Deroit area with the driver. The drivers name is Kim Pruitt from Wayne, MI.

If you see it please contact the Michigan State Police or the nearest police department!

Thank you!!!!

Hope you get it back asap. What is the name on the doors of the truck or the trailer might help it to get noticed.

If the truck is still with a driver you gave it to, is it still considered stolen ?

If the driver is with the truck is it stolen or just missing?
The driver could be parked somewhere sick, injured or worse.
Is the truck being held hostage by the driver?
It seems there is more to this story. Enquiring minds want to know.

The truck was found this evening by a retired Green Berret friend of mine. The driver had sold 2 pallets of the frozen pizza to pay for his motel, lady friend, and the drug of thier choice. The driver is in custody, and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

I did not have a tracking device on the truck, but all of our trucks will before the end of the week. His cell phone was off.

I think it is quite clear what his intention was...

Thank you for your help!!!

Tracking device $200, and $20 per month. It can save you a lot of time .

I love a somewhat happy ending! Better to be out some pizza than the load, trailer and truck!

I hope the shipper/receiver of the freight is understanding, as well.

Don't you drug test ? I tes my drivers all the time if they fail they are fired I don't play that rehab BS ! I also have a ZERO alcohol policy I find out you drive one of my trucks drunk you better hope the cops get you because I will put a serious hurting on a driver.

But thank god I have several awesome serious drivers working for me and they are super responsible and take care of my trucks and our clients. Good pay = good workers usually.

The entire load is technically junk now since the freight was tampered with. Thats a huge claim if its high $ pizzas

We do drug and background testing... I am not an idiot... But when you are dealing with dishonest people, sometimes they get over on you.

This driver had many skeletons in his closet, but because previous employers didn't preosecute, and lawyers were able to get it off his record, the background checks never turned it up.

But when you have a problem, you will hear an officer say as he is looking at what he can look at, "there are several issues in the past" it makes you wonder if you will ever find someone good.

BTW... Our drivers have the ability to make $60,000 per year to start. We also offer $1000 quarterly bonuses just for doing thier job.

But in this case we weren't dealing with a driver. We were dealing with a criminal!!!

The best thing is that since the reefer never ran out of fuel, and the load is still good, it is now heading to where it was supposed to be last Thursday...

Idtrans, You don't play that rehab bs game ? I'm not sure, but you may have a responsibility in states to do so. How about a moral responsibility to a fellow human ? I have a friend that went through rehab ONCE and today is a fine father, co-worker, and important in his community. His Vietnam service had changed him and when he realized it was time to straighten up his employer sent him to rehab. This guy wanted to get clean. He's alive today because of rehab.

idtrans, please bridge the gap between these two quotes for me. I'm having some difficulty making a connection.

The gap is easy the drivers I have work serious and take care of the work ! They don't do drugs and they do not drink when they are going to have to work.

or you didn't know I have 4 trucks now running in ND doing drilling water hauling leased onto a firm up in ND.

I don't expedite anymore haven't for almost 7 months now. Got tired of the many games I ran into I just didn't fit into the expedited industry. Well I guess I am still a expeditor but with a stepdeck now for oil field supplies.

That's the way it is not only that the company my nd trucks is leased to does a intense back ground check and they find out everything and have a zero tolerance also. It's all about safety ! Many people do go through rehab and fix their life I just don't want any part of the drama. And BTW when I had a driver in a van 1 of the drivers the one that messed me over good had been sober for 1 yr and well my error was not running him better than I did and yes I paid for it. Luckily it wasn't worse than what he did.
