For the more adventurist free spirits amoungst us have I got the layover place for you. Next time you find yourself stressed out and laid over in the San Diego,Ca area try this:
Head on out to Jacumba,Ca on I-8 to the Jacumba exit. Go west on Carrizo Gorge Rd (gravel). Look for gate to Deanza Springs Resort. The resort sits on 523 acres nestled in the Anza-Borrega State Park (another 770,000 acres to explore).At your disposal you will have campsites with utilities,hot showers,a restaurant and lounge, snack bar,2-pools and a large jacuzzi spa,laundromat,and more. If you need to get out of the truck they even have on site motel rooms.
Activities include hiking ( there are old Indian encampments, abandoned mines,railroad camps,and swimming holes to explore), swimming,games,socializing,dancing,karaoke,etc.Or you can get a site off to yourself and just enjoy the sites and sounds of nature. If thats not enough to entertain you Golden Accorn Casino is just back west a few miles and has plenty of truck parking.
Deanza Springs welcomes Expediters (several visit regularly) and our trucks. They are friendly folks that want your stay to be an
enjoyable one. I give just one word of caution,"take plenty of
sunscreen!"
. You'll love the all-over tan you take home with you
if you dare to go bare. They are clothing-optional except
in the pool and spa areas. You dont have to be a member to stay but
