Time for a fan!

If you haven't yet bought a small fan for your sleeper, now is a good time to do so.

We have a roof vent fan in our sleeper and we use it but we also have a small desk fan that makes a huge difference this time of year. It oscillates so even with the a/c on the air continues to move. That means we can keep the a/c temp a little higher so the generator isn't constantly coming on. These little fans are not expensive and there are times that the fan plus the windows open in the sleeper make it just right.

Good Morning India :)
We use 2 fans in the truck in the summer. The moving air just feels cooler and the A/C doesn't seem to work as hard. In the winter, we use a fan on low, pointed toward the ceiling to circulate the warm air off the ceiling. The difference is amazing.

Great reminder India. We spent a lot of time at the Wal-Mart store moving each fan away from the other fans to see how they each felt. We did not end up buying the fan that was our first pick. The difference a fan can make in the truck is unbelievable. Even with our Fantastic Vent we still need one more fan to keep air moving in the summer time.

We have a Rig Master which has a thermostat and when the air conditioner would shut down it was almost unbearable waiting for it to start again. The fan relieved all of that so we are able to sleep better and use the fan even going down the road in the summer.

Had a roof vent and fan in my C/V mounted just over the bunk. It had a hood on it that kept out the rain. It helped in the summer keeping the A/C working better even when the truck was moving.

We've never used our roof vent fan while rolling. We have the cover that keeps the rain out, but I was afraid that it would damage the lid

Used it rain or shine, hot or cold, moving or stopped. It came from an RV shop, and was made for all seasons. I wired up the fan so it ran both directions and also wired up a rheostat so I had variable speeds. Worked great. Never had any kind of damage.

The Fan-Tastic Vent Fan is warranted for two years, and they specifically state that it's warranted for use while driving. I would assume any other fan designed for an RV is designed to be used with the lid open while driving down the road, too.

Again, I learn something new every day! Ours is a Fantastic vent fan and it has the shroud that covers it so that rain doesn't come in. I will try it while rolling just to see how it does. Thanks for the information :)
