Perhaps one of the sweetest ironies would be how many in the spelling-challenged crowd are calling to make English the official language of the US, and are insisting that all immigrants be proficient in it .... :rolleyes:

Proper spelling and good writing skill are not unlike the skill set needed to throw a football well, outside of 64 guys in the NFL it's mainly there for personal amusement.(some might even question the number 64 with exceptions like Doug Fluttie who was more a second offensive coordinator than a 2nd string QB) I personally have broken 3 spell checkers in my life so they don't always work well.

Mistakes on hand-written signs is one thing, but this is on a gas pump in Pennsylvania. Two, count 'em, two mistakes on one sign.

Well, I guess that kind kills the argument that having a full command of the English language should be the duty of any US citizen ........ or that it is even a desirable thing to aspire to ..................................... amusement ..... :confused:

Sure don't need that to be a congressmen, senator or the President!! Basic math skills do not seem to be very important either.
