Because I don't even want to think about people without their pants on, I have to straighten out this ridiculous click bait scare tactic misconception.
Sharpton clarified, [in the Update at the end of the article] with the following disclaimer:
"We did not say we are in the decision making process. We are in conversation to reach out to have meetings about what we want to see in a successor."

So: he's talking about talking about talking - right. Everyone can keep their clothes on now.
