I am sitting here watching an amazing thing.
There is a schneider truck, pumpkin sitting next to me (truck 38213) and another pumpkin sitting across from me (truck 47713) with a panther truck directly across from me with a parking space in between.
Now I know that many of these companies don't hire bright people and this proves that there is a reason they make tow trucks - which by the way there is one over in the next row.
Well these Schneider people really want to get out and don't have the brains to maneuver the truck in the in the snow to get out. They pull forward, get stuck, back up, get stuck.
I am bored with watching all these trucks getting stuck in front of me so I put in a DVD, make myself some popcorn and watch Goodfellas for the 10th time.
About mid point in the movie. I glance over to the pumpkin across from me and notice someone is pulling a chain out and then see a truck pulls in front of them and they hook the chain up. The truck takes the slack up and then starts yanking on the chain. Yanks a little, let it slack out and yanks again, pulls the truck from a straight position half way into the parking spot to about 45 degree angle.
With me so far?
Well now if the truck succeeded pulling it out the way they are going, it would have taken the panther truck with it, but that's not what happened.
So as far as I am concern, call a tow truck.. the guy in the tow truck is charging $200 ....but that's not the case, they are pumpkin drivers. The truck is still winding up and yanking on the chain, a chain that I might add may be rated only for 15K. while they pull the pumpkin farther over and he keeps burning up his clutch (yea who cares, it is a company truck), it become apparent the the chain will snap but when?
At that time, I am thinking there will be a fatality here, a bit of news to report to the people of Erie about a dumba** truck driver who was too cheap to get a tow out the right way or will my video get confiscated of the accident - you know all these things are running through my mind. (yes I took a video of it, why not? I got to use the camera!)
So as the truck is yanking, letting the chain have slack and yanking hard again, one bright dumba** is walking up to the truck doing the pulling and just makes it to the end of the truck, I hear a whoose and a bing, the chain snapped and went flying into the trailer hard, very hard.
I know for a fact that if that chain had been twisted the right way, it would have either decapitated him or cut him in half and then I would have been cleaning blood off my truck.
So far the pumpkin is stuck even more, I now have a Marten truck parked in front of me and I am wondering if they will do the same thing.
Oh I am not worried about one of these idiots getting killed, seen death before like this, but I am worried if that chain snaps and it comes my way or hits the people in the panther truck. I guess I better call my lawyer now just in case.
And am I wrong in thinking that you don't use a chain like a snap line because they do snap and kill people?
Now the Marten truck is gone and the Panther truck is trying to get out.
