Things I Like about FECC

EASYTRADER

Expert Expediter
1. Get paid on TIME
2. They mostly leave me alone!
3. I can turn down freight and not be put out of service.(Which I do a lot more of these days)
4. It FEELS more secure (feelings do count)
5. National Freight base ( I live in CA)

Isn't five things enough?

I like the way that they are always going after new business. Looking for new kinds of freight or finding new ways to exploit available freight. I like having the "FedEx" name, their "brand power" so to speak. They might not always get it right but they are not just sitting back doing the same thing day in and day out. They TRY to do more.

I think it is time to move this to the FedEx forum, it is getting too funny.

Layout, I don't want to insult you but if they were thinking outside the box, you and every truck in the fleet would be moving, all the time. You would have to tell them "no no not another one, I have to take a rest from all this work". :)

They not only have the capabilities to move the trucks but also to make it worth the amount of work you get - $1.30 to $1.40 a mile without hurting their bottom line.

Maybe I should post my list ... nah ... it will become another plastic fog then.:D

Greg, I did not say that they always get it right but I do KNOW that they are trying. I have gone on sales calls with sales agents to assist them. Potential customers who wanted to "see" a FDCC truck or talk with some drivers. This post was started to post some "positives" that people see in FDCC. I have no problem with that.

They certainly have some strong points or no one would be there.

Well layout, a lot of positive has been already said.

The negative can be countered with a simple fact - they are a good company that can be better ...

As Dave said
Every carrier has its good and bad points and that "balance" is what is necessary to get a realistic and objective view of any carrier's current performance.

Easy said it best in the other thread and I think it's great to hear that.

Take it easy by the way, it isn't personal but funny. :p

And was a positive thread until he show'd up with his
usual uninformed comments

I worked once at golf ball manufacturing place for 3 weeks.
But i've more sense to try and convince people I know everything
about golf balls. The KIA attitudes worn awfully thin

I was not taking any personal, business is business. FDCC has good point, weak points and bad points. Just like every other carrier does. Why did you think I took something personal? There was nothing to take personal that I saw.

I like the fact we can get our of almost any part of the country with FCC. There are times when it seems as if every truck that is leased to FCC is in a certain part of the country, but that can be hit and miss.

I like that when we accept a load for a certain pay the only change we will ever see to that pay is up.

I like that we get FSC on every approved mile we run whether that is to pickup, to delivery or to our express center.

I like the freedom to take off when we want and for as long as we want.

I like the recognition and acceptance we get with our FedEx Custom Critical Signs

Your gregness, you never fail to amaze me. What's so funny? A driver happy with the company he is leased on to? What's wrong with that?

Thinking outside the box? Is it hard for you to see that the concept they use may be beyond the scope of your knowledge? But a call to Green shall be made to ensure you will be consulted from now on and maintain freight levels to your satisfaction. And possibly, since we may be so tired from hauling all that freight, they may just call you and throw you a bone or two.

1.30 - 1.40? You have access to what they pay on loads also? You must be that ghost consulting firm we hear about. Must be that plastic fog you mentioned, huh?

Is it that hard for you to comprehend that some people are really doing well, they like it, and will even say so?

And while you ponder a nifty negative reply to my post, I will be taking another load. Butno, wait, all that work is getting to me. Maybe I'll ask to be taken off and rest. Think again!

My point is to let those that are happy and satisfied do what they are doing, not rain on their parade. Your better than that.

Yeah a carrier known for service...*LOL*

FEDEX DELIVERY FAILURE RATE RISES DRAMATICALLY TO ONE IN EVERY NINE SHIPMENTS

According to published news reports, an independent audit has revealed that the pilot labor dispute at Federal Express is creating significant service problems. Planes are late, package sorts are significantly delayed and customers are being disappointed because 11 percent of one- and two-day shipments now are arriving late.

"Instead of making the smart business decision to come to an agreement with FedEx pilots on a fair contract, our management has chosen to allow operations to deteriorate to the point where customer service is significantly impaired," said Captain Joe DePete, chairman of the FedEx unit of the Air Line Pilots …

To be fair and balanced I found this article...

Plastic streamers flying, the plastic fog is rolling in.

Too Funny.

I proved what I set out to prove and won my bet and now I will leave it at that and go collect my dinner at Ruth's Chris.

Too Funny.

OVM, watch out because it doesn't matter what you say, your sprinter will fog up soon trying to prove anything.:p

1CHINGON, I think it's a good company but some people are not good for the company. A lot of people make good money as contractors and even the guy who put me up to this made $9000 this month so far as a solo but don't think I don't know what's going on, it may surprise you what and who I know. I think they can do better, and wish they would ... maybe they have already read everything posted here.

Now I got to get out of the fog...... :D

What I find the most funny about all this is, general comments and questions that apply to all expediters often get posted into the FECC Forum, where only FECCers can reply. But here we've got a bona fide rah-rah that gets posted to the General Forum where everyone can reply, and as soon as someone shows up without the correct team spirit, they get snooted and snotted on. Well, that's what you get for holding a pep rally in a public park. Crap, where's my pompoms?

Turtle, Those Cheerleaders are mentally handicap. I would let them cheer anytime, They would do a better job than the ones in high schools that think they are better than everyone because they are a cheerleader.

well, They always pay me on time, and it's what it was supposed to be. That's Better then some Carriers I have worked for.
They answer my questions when I ask them, and in a timely manner.
They let me decide what loads I will and will not run,I have almost forgotten what forced dispatch was like.
I find that very rarely am I left hanging out there alone if I have a problem load.
They treat me with respect and like a person and in the end that is worth an awful lot.
Oh and I have a heck of a lot of fun and I make money along the way..
