Ah ...... The good old days.... This photo is of the old bridge crossing I-75 over the Saginaw River in Saginaw, Mi.

I remember one time the bridge opened for a holiday weekend (don't remember which).... The backup was almost to Flint.

Maybe it's just the way the photo looks---- but it looks to me like there might be a real good reason for the bridge to be stuck in the "open" position for awhile. The ship passing through looks like it is about to sink, and at the speed it is going it will do so right under the bridge.

That picture of the ship .... reminds me of the Sprinter drivers Claiming to haul 4000 lbs.... lol ...or most with 3000 lbs....
