In Portland, 13 were arrested without using deadly force. After molatov cocktails and other projectiles thrown at officers. Three were hurt.
But unarmed woman Ashli Babbitt climbing thru a glass was shot without warning.

She was warned.

But please by all means, continue to deify poor St. Ashli ... the Patron Saint of all Wayward MAGA Rioters.

It's not about deifying anyone. It's about having proper standards of not using deadly force unnecessarily on our citizens.

What do you mean wrong? It's an opinion for cryin' out loud.
You should get a job as a fact checker. They fact check opinions.

:clapping-happy:

:tearsofjoy:

You can't pick and choose what you wait to see. You have to look at all of it. Too many Antifa and BLM rioters were arrested and charged only to later have the charges dropped not because of lack of evidence.

So says you.

But sometimes these things go awry for various reasons (prosecutorial overreach and overcharging, lack of evidence, etc.)

In some respects, it may like what happened with the J20 prosecutions:

Justice Department Drops Felony Charges Against 129 Trump Inauguration Defendants

Government drops charges against all inauguration protesters

Of course, that all happened under a different DOJ, during the last Administration.

How quickly time flies ...

None of that has anything to do with how one properly handles a firearm against a particular, discrete individual threat.
An unarmed woman climbing through a window is a discreet threat?

Oh, that's right, she was part of a mob.

No, actually I didn't.

Apparently, you inferred it though.

Oh now its discrete individual threat.....
You have a violent mob throwing bricks and frozen water bottles.
Then you have a mob in a lobby with a woman climbing through a window not throwing anything or attacking cops and she was unarmed.
One gets a slap on the wrist and the other gets shot.....your head is up your azz because all I hear is :censoredsign:.

Yes, I'd say that is how the officer viewed her at the time.

That doesn't mean that he wasn't also aware and mindful that a violent mob was right behind her.

It just speaks to what he was primarily focused on in the moments before he shot her: she was the one ignoring his commands to stop and who continued on into a space she had been told she couldn't enter.

None of the other people there were doing that at that precise point in time.

They (the others there) were (arguably) smart.

She was stupid.

You have a violent mob throwing bricks and frozen water bottles.

What incident/event are you referring to specifically ?

(When, where, etc.)

Then you have a mob in a lobby with a woman climbing through a window not throwing anything or attacking cops and she was unarmed.

That's not correct as far as the mob that was with her goes.

At least two people who were with her just before she was shot were charged with assaulting federal officers, among the other charges they face:

‘Dangerous:’ How GOP is turning Jan. 6 rioters into martyrs

One gets a slap on the wrist and the other gets shot.....

The guy who got the three years for chucking that Molitov Cocktail in Portland probably doesn't consider it a "slap on the wrist"

;)

Same back at ya.

Likely while grossly violating Rule No. 4 of basic firearm safety:

4. BE CERTAIN OF YOUR TARGET, YOUR LINE OF FIRE, AND WHAT LIES BEYOND YOUR TARGET.

Your view would be obscured by the umbrella, which would potentially leave you in the dark as to what all might lie beyond that umbrella.

In these particular circumstances cops would be firing into a crowd.

People who are inclined to act emotionally and out of rage are like loose cannons: dangerous to innocent people around them.
There were people behind Babbitt including police officers when he fired his weapon at her and toward the crowd.

Sure.

All about the proper standards.
Sure. Not two different standards because someone is wearing a red hat and voted for the Orangeman that they don't like. Blind justice the way it's supposed to be.
