Price tag policy (Hebrew: מדיניות תג מחיר) is the name originally given to "acts of random violence aimed at the Palestinian population, and Israeli security forces" by fundamentalist Israeli settler youths who, according to the New York Times, "exact a price from local Palestinians or from the Israeli security forces for any action taken against their settlement enterprise". Price tag attacks now extend to acts of vandalism, suspected to be the work of lone individuals, against the Israeli army and security services, as well as against Christian and Muslim places of worship, and also against leftist institutions.
The price-tag campaign includes attacks on Palestinian villages and property by Israeli settlers as retaliation for attacks on Israeli targets and for government demolition of structures at West Bank settlements and the removal of outposts which are variously described as being either unauthorised or illegal, and in recent years (2012-2013), dozens of such attacks have targeted Christian sites and the Christian community in Jerusalem.

Graffiti reading ‘Regards to John Kerry’ found hours after Palestinian prisoners released in controversial move to advance peace talks
A home and three vehicles in a West Bank refugee camp were vandalized early Tuesday morning, in a suspected “price tag” attack related to the release of 26 Palestinian prisoners and ongoing peace talks.
Residents of Jalazone, near the settlement of Beit El, woke in the morning to discover that the vehicles had been torched by Molotov cocktails and a home was spray-painted with the words “Regards to John Kerry.”
After their actions, the vandals fled the area, according to police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld, who said police opened an investigation into the incident.
Other graffiti found at the scene read “There will be a war over Judea and Samaria,” and “On [Judea and Samaria] much blood will be spilled.” A Jewish star was also scrawled on a wall.
