The President on 60 Minutes

Last night when asked about all the service girls and boys serving their third and fourth tour,he responded that they are "ALL VOLUNTEERS".

He needs to be reminded that he volunteered for the national guard and could have spent tour after tour in Vietnam.Lucky for him there was a draft at the time supplying the needs.

I`ll bet he would have been screaming to daddy if his unit had been activated.

The President is right!these men and women who enlist in the armed forces do so to Honor and Protect our Country,and do so knowing that there could be a time when they will be called to War.And further more after 911 I didn't hear any of these Politicians who are critical of the President now,have any other ideas to fight this enemy!God Bless our Troops

I just retired from the National Guard. Those who volunteer to join the Guard also get good benefits. One thing that always burnt my butt was the punk kid who didnt contribute. They wanted their education paid for and receive enlistment bonuses but didnt want to do any deployments.

Yep, there are some BIG strings attached to those goodies you get from Uncle Sam when you sign on the dotted line.

There are a few complainers, but the vast majority of people I deal with here in Afghanistan, and those who I know and talk to in Iraq are 100% behind what we are doing in BOTH places. I am not sure where the media is getting their %50 number.
