Canada has had this car since it was offered. They are VERY small - they almost look like they could drive safely on a sidewalk.

I hate the country, all those animals walking around un-cooked.

It's probably about over now but they were doing a tour of the country through the summer. I happened to be at a Pilot in El Paso when they stopped there. I talked to them for a little while and got a tshirt. They are tiny but that's their purpose. Two can park in one standard parking space. With 70-75 mph interstate driving they were getting about 46mpg they said. I think they're cool but they'd take some getting used to. On that website they have some tv commercials you can watch that illustrate even though tiny outwardly they are extremely space efficient inside.

I saw one in Ontario last spring. Looks like if you hit anything larger then a lawn mower you will come out second best.

LMAO stay away from yard implements.
I saw a guy 6'.5" approx 300 lbs get into the passenger side of one...
Poor guy had his chin resting on his knees after he got the door shut.

When we where in Europe these where every where! If you read much about them they have a roll cage built into them like a NASCAR. They are super safety conscious. I think they are cool looking but Bob doesn't think to much of them. What can I expect he didn't like our VW bugs either.

I (my wife) ordered one several months ago with a delivery date this December. These smart cars have been out in Europe since about 1995. What we like about the car is not only the fuel economy but also it's safety - it is built by Mercedes and the body is actually a roll cage. For city driving it's ideal. And, your correct, in Europe is is common to see two parked in one parking space!

Well I took one out for test drive and liked it, but again I like small trucks. It is not the only uber-compact car out on the market over there and they have been copied by the chinese and those are even cheaper.

In the other thread in the newbies forum, there is a question about COE vs. Conventionals and I thought about doing what some RVers are doing, putting a smart car in the rear of the RV but in my case with an Argosy, stick it before the box. Still have space for freight but you have something to play with on the weekend.

I presume you mean crossways and would just use ramps to drive it up and down? You could probably do that and still have a 24' box but why not get the box the full 30' and put doors on the side? You could have it inside protected from the elements and passersby and still drive it down ramps on the curb side. If you chose to not take it for a while you'd have all that extra cargo room.
