All answers are multiples of 9.
9,18,27,36,45,54,63,72,81.
These numbers have the same symbol next to them.

It works because it's all multiples of 9 and those numbers have very similar symbols so even when it's different than the number you chose it's close enough to fool you.

81, 63, 54, 45, 36, 27, 19, 9 and 0 all have the same symbols.
each time you try the symbols change, yet they are all the same.
Now I wish I had that card game again.
