let me be the first to say I hate them! I hated them so much I voted with my feet and left as soon as i could! They are the masters of telling you your an independent but treat you like your an employee! Bite me FEDEX !
I do think it's funny how FECCers tend to post FECC-type stuff in threads all over the place, and then start a thread in the FECC-only forum that pertains to everyone here. But that's what happens when your nose that far up in the air, I suppose, where you can't see where you're posting because your bifocals don't go down that far.

Oh, I can afford those new high priced no lines multi-focal lenses.( thanx Fedex). No sir my nose is on line straight and true.

Yours is, but a lot of them are so far up there than they have to wear their glasses upside down just to be able to see out of the top half while driving.

I dont know what got him to think of a thread of this sort, but I'll add my thoughts, I guess.I am a happy freindly guy.If I drive by you,or walk by you, I'm going to wave and say hello. It's called courtesy.So it seems like that most of the time, not always,that when I do wave or say hello and get no response except a turning of the head the other way, it is from a Fed-Ex driver.I often get the feeling that they think that their **** dont stink.For some strange reason they think they are better than everyone else just because they have to wear their uniform. or for whatever reason.Dont get me wrong,I do have a few close freinds on with Fed-Ex that are the greatest people and have also agreed with me on this as well.So for you nice Fed-ex people out there, please dont take this personally.
I tend to put FedEx policy threads in the FedEx forum so the information that needs to be shared is not diluted by posters who are not with FedEx. As long as the thread is in the FedEx forum new people reading that thread will know that only contractors with FedEx are posting. When there is a FedEx post in the General thread new people will know a poster from any company can give their opinion right or wrong.
This is because that is exactly what there contractors want. They want to think they are independent contractors that partner with Fedex but in reality they need Fedex to find there loads for them and to be there when something goes wrong to bail them out of a jam. Most of these so called independents could not make it if they had to get there own authority and do it all on there own. This may sound hard but it is the truth.

Every company has their own unfriendly people. I met them, you probably did too. This fenomenon is not exclusive to FedEx drivers.
Why so grumpy in here today? If you don't like FDCC don't run for them. If you have problems with one or two of thier warts work with them to resolve it. It really is that simple. Expediting is NOT rocket science. (sorry Rocket, LOL) I used to work with rocket science and rocket scientists. Take my word for it, this ain't it!! As to not speaking to other drivers from other companies, we even allowed some Panther drivers into our "Grassy Circle" we were all at the Petro in Atlanta. People are people. Those who are snooty are snooty when they are not working as well as when they are. Those who are not, are not. That too is that simple. This entire thing seems silly to me. Layoutshooter

OVM, a few weeks ago I pulled into a J in SC next to an E1 sprinter, ended up being Steady Eddie, then the mighty Turtle shows up. Had a good time all 3 of us the whole Saturday while I was there. Can you imagine that? A FedEx, a Panther and an Express 1 in the same parking lot and talking to each other?

One of the moderators need to delete this post - in my opinion. The idea here is not to bash our companies and those of us who drive for the companies but instead to share ideas and experiences.
This company being bashed is a company that advertises on this site and it just doesn't deserve to be bashed in a post that is strictly started for BASHING. I would feel the same way about any company that has a post started strictly for the purpose of bashing. Please can we get away from this type of post on the site???!!!
