The good, the bad and the ugly?

After careful consideration, I have narrowed down the hunt for a company to contract for. Unfortunately, I could look at their paperwork all day and listen to their recruiter tell me everything that he thinks I want to hear, but the truth of the matter is, you don't get to know the company till you work for them unless you listen to what current and previous employees have to say.
So if anybody that knows anything good, bad, or even ugly about Tri-State would be so kind as to respond via post, or e-mail to me, I would greatly appreciate it as I am new to the expediting industry, and could use a little jump start.

I know for starters - there are several current threads about TSE.

Also, we are all suggesting to EVERYONE right now - with this being [link:www.expediteexpo.com/2004/index.html| Expedite Expo] week to take a few days and head up there. In addition to all the carriers, dealers, vendors AND Expediters that will be there - it is the best time to do side by side comparisons.

There are alot of good and bad posts relating to Tri-State. I would read through them to get some idea about them. They are a company in transition so I would take Lawrence's advise and head over to Woodhaven for the Expo. While their recruiters may tell you anything they want you to hear, you will be able to talk to drivers ect, and get a feel for their current state. I would keep an open mind and talk to as many folks there about their companies so you can make a well informed decision.
