The General

In an recent interview, General Norman Schwarzkopf was asked if he thought there was room for forgiveness toward the people who have harbored and abetted the terrorists who perpetrated the 9/11 attacks on America.

His answer was classic Schwarzkopf.

The General said, "I believe that forgiving them is God's function .... OUR job is to arrange the meeting."

Forgiveness here is possible, I'd say, but only after they repent of their actions first. Can't forgive until they stop with the bomba-bomba stuff.

Schwarzkopf is apparently a one-trick pony. When asked "in a recent interview" (circa 2001) about bin Laden, he said,

"It's God's responsibility to judge Osama bin Laden. It is our responsibility to arrange the meeting."

When asked "in a recent interview" (circa 2006) about the v
iolence which erupted between Israel and Hezbollah, and if he thought there was room for forgiveness toward Hizbollah, he said,

"I believe that forgiving Hizbollah is God's function. The Israeli's job is to arrange the meeting."

And in another "recent interview" (circa 2001) he
was asked how it was possible to fight an enemy willing and ready to die for his cause.

His reply: "Accommodate him."

Now we have him saying the same thing in another "recent interview" about not those who fight, but those who provide comfort and aid to the enemy.
Schwarzkopf sure seems to have that "kill 'em all, let God sort 'em out" kind of mentality, huh.

Of course, he never said any of these things at all. They're made up. Lies fabricated to foster the hate du jour.

Gotta luv the Internet.

The General got paid to lead troops, not for public speaking. I would have been MORE than happy to serve under him. His speaking is NOT an issue in my book. I always knew where he was coming from and heading for and what was expected of me.
