More headlines, more distractions, and unfortunately folks die, but the flue comes around every year to aggravate us. Yes the news media has again run out of things to tell us. I don't do anything different year after year during this season, life goes on.......................Flu reaches epidemic proportions in US | Fox News Joe Biden may get a joint task force to do away the the flu virus, u think?

Sometimes the news blows things out of wack. That is part of the problem with 24 hours news, there is just not enough REAL news to fill the time slots.

The flu, however, can be, and often is, VERY deadly. It is easily transmitted. Strains mutate quickly. Animal strains can and do mutate and cross over into human strains.

The 1918 outbreak killed an estimated 1 to 3% of the entire worlds population. The ONLY good thing that MAY have came out of that outbreak is that it contributed greatly to the end of WWI.

The flu is nothing to be sneezed at.

In the Chattanooga newspaper today: Dr. Kelly Moore, the medical director of the Tennessee Immunization Program, says" the flu season seems ( don' t you love the word Seems), worse than in recent years, but that clinic reporting is often disrupted over the holidays, so whether cases are increasing or not is uncertain. roflmao, to funny.................ty Dr. Moore, now we all feel better.

Ok, we got gun control, and no flu control, I'm calling Joe asap...

Gee, one of the few times I have ever heard anyone COMPLAIN about smaller wars and less disease. Kinda weird.

from the beginning of time the worlds economy has relied on war, death and destruction....unfortunately....

used to take 20 people to make widgets...now it takes 3....whats the other 17 doing?.....repeat this around the world....and the world only needs so many widgets that even the 3 will lose a paycheck once and awhile....

It is called the 'cycle of life'. It is not based on war or disease, just the natural cycle of life. That will never change. The REAL solution is to invent something else to build, other than widgets. Problem solved.

Doesn't make it right though.

Why can't ppl be more positive about helping the world instead of wishing death and destruction.

Next you will be advocating pushing seniors off a cliff

:p
