The Fleet Owner's Jingle

Like everyone, I have to bore the majority to entertain a few.....you know who you are!

There was an old man who owned a fleet
His drivers decided he was a cheat
They drove nice new trucks
But got shorted the bucks
When the surcharge arrived incomplete.

Now he's lost the best of the best
And settles for a few of the rest
Should hang his head in shame
Everyone knows his name
Can't pass the "good owners test"!

And in fairness to the GOOD owners...

There once was a team from Mebane
who's expectations of expedite were insane
claimed the contract was shoddy
and the truck didn't even have a potty
so they brought back the truck with pee jugs.

Good one Diva. So... I guess the answer to this delema is... What? Go get your own 100K truck, and YOU can wrestle with the customer about the few cents you feel shorted by??? Or.....? Keep it simple y'all.

To the owner who needs the fancy truck,
you run for little money so there goes your luck.
You did not think when you bought,
now you will take cheap freight with little thought.
Your drivers no longer can pay their bills,
even though the carrier makes them drive over more hills.
It seems the carrier does well enough,
is about time we all say enough.
We no longer will take the rates that are so low,
its time carriers finds out what its like when it is slow.
The driver needs a wage,
no reason to be a slave.
The carrier can take the blame,
its their greed that is so lame.

When trying to make your company large
Keep part of your drivers fuel surcharge.

If you do, you soon will find
your trucks are empty, and you're in a bind.

After a while they all tend to leave
Even one named Jean and one named Steve.

Loyal and hardworking to the end
On this subject they refused to bend.

The advise of friends they did take
New owners, a jump, they did make.

Now they are happy, and all is well
Their new owners, THEY are swell.
