Willard's Rats have just about secured the GOP nomination. Willard "Mitt" Romney has warmed the hearts of GOP Establishment types and is becoming the presumptive nominee. My disappointment with the conservative movement cannot be overstated. Obama does not deserve a second term as president, yet we conservatives put forth the weakest field of candidates in my lifetime. With Santorum, Gingrich and Paul dividing the anti-Romney vote, Mitt is cruising to the nomination.

Romney does not enjoy support from the conservative base. Romney is neither passionate nor inspiring as a candidate. There is no way the GOP wins the presidency this November with a lackluster shoe-salesman like Romney. Difficult times are near as the Fat Lady swoons for Obama.

Maybe conservatives should start looking ahead to 2016. Or, understand we no longer win national elections. Our numbers are too small.

It is like the truth is coming out - romney represents the conservative movement at it's best because in the last 40 or so years, we have yet seen any of the core promises come true like smaller government or less intrusive government but honestly just the opposite.

So sad when people can not grasp the idea that if they abide by the leaders of conservative movement, they may be living in a dream world which result in supporting people like palin who support people like Gingrich who is as far from a small government and no intrusion into peoples loves.
