The Expo 2016 is over my friends

It was good to see old friends and it was nice to meet turtle in person.

Personally I have mixed emotions on the new location. For those that like to go out it was a better spot, downtown Lexington had much more to offer than Wilmington. There was also some negatives but I'll hold off on those and see if there is some improvement in the future.

As always the highlight was spending time with friends.

Thank you all for coming. We have a list of items we're going to improve. When we moved from Michigan to Ohio - it took a few years to work out the kinks. We have our first Expedite Expo planning meeting on Monday - LOL!

Seen Lawrence, xiggi, and dynamite but couldn't find the elusive Turtle. You must have been hiding Sunday. Had a great time meeting so many. Certainly was a two day whirlwind. Like the new venue. Couple tweaks here and there for future ones but was a awesome show.

Sunday? Sunday was the day after the Expo. I was hiding in my hotel room, sleeping, then showered and checked out. Was something going on on Sunday morning that I missed?

Oh, I was parked in the parking lot across from the entrance to the Hyatt.

Overall I love the new venue and location. Some tweaks to be done, but that is true with anything new. Overall I think the OnTime crew did a HECK of a job putting it together once again!

My wife and I were quite excited when we saw that the Expo was a mere 4-hour drive away. We planned for a year to make sure our schedule was clear. We did not know anyone there, so we wandered around with a dear-in-the-headlights look all day Friday. We sat in on our first session: What You Need To Know Before Getting Into Expedite Trucking, we gathered alot of good data. We did not stay for Saturday, but we are already waiting to hear where the next Expo is going to be at, as we hope to attend again.

As this was my First Expo that i could attend .... i thought the Booth set-ups and representations were great ( looking & personnel wise) a great location & Room to grow .. hope more Van set-up ideas in future .... from non-van dealers who actually know how Expediting works .... Sorry but 1,000 to 1,500 lb. sleeping bunks in freight floor areas do Not work in Todays competive expedite market in MY View ... yes the Comfort looks inviting But i drive a Working Van not a RV ... the Str-8 truck Dealers had Assome displays ... they almost had me climbing out of the Van ... Very Nice ... also Not 1 Expedite company was Selling the Golden Horseshoe or making any Unreal promises in the current Expedite market ... refreshing to see .... Now the only Disappointment was lack of Attendence ... Yes where was You ...? I , myself included in the past years was usually running freight ... this year ..yes i was on a weekend load that routed me within a few mile detour to attend .... Well worth it ... so i am already starting my Expo savings account ... yep $100. Monthly will be put away for Next years Expo .. to take a few days off and relax ... and to patronize the people who worked hard to make this happen and put up their Show booths .... this is just MY 2 cents worth ... so let me ask ...What is your 2017 Expo plans .....

It was nice to meet you at the show. I agree with you on the attendance.

When I was asked "why" - the answer is simple. I just ask how is freight?

The answer: soft. The expo is a mirror of the industry and participation is a direct reflection.

It was clear - this year's expo was the biggest concentration of drivers and O/O's we've had. Like most exhibitors, we came home with candy left over as most locals didn't attend.

Planning has started already on 2017. We have a few pages of recommendations and improvements. Onward and upward!
