The Expediter Hall of Fame

After being upset about what a very few people had said and then talking with many different people in the business. Who cares what some people likes or dislikes with the Expediters Hall of Fame. I can't make everyone happy. As Turtle and Greg pointed out "who cares what they think". You started this because this is your project. Yes the website we now have will stop after the Expedite Expo to roll out a new web site that will be nicer, faster, and look great. My goal is this, and I really don't care who don't like it.

The Expediters Hall of Fame will honor the people that have helped CHANGE the business of Expediting over the years. As Greg said " its your Hall of Fame Dave". But I don't see it that way. It was started because GEO put it out on Expediters Online in a post many years ago. I just took his lead and started it up. I love history and I want people to understand how expediting and trucking has came along over the years.

Expediting has grow into a billion dollar year operation with everyone doing it. FedEx Custom Critical, Tri-state and Panther alone does over $500,000,000.00 a year in expedite business. Things have changed so much over the years. Drivers no longer have to stop every four hours to call into there carrier from a payphone and report where they are. Most people don't remember how you got paid 62% going away from your house and 46% going towards home. Thats why drivers would do a load and just deadhead back home. They made more money leaving the house.

Jeff Jensen will be the 1st of many great people that will go into the Expediter Hall of Fame. How many people loved to read Jeff's writings? I know I did. Come and honor a man at this years Expedite Expo for what he did for us. The Drivers, and the Owner Operators in the expedite business.

Very excited to see you got your head back on straight and your attitude adjusted! I would have been very disappointed if you had let a bunch of negative knuckleheads influence what you did. Of course you know me ...I never did care much to listen to someone telling me I couldn't do something. NO ONE deserves more to be the first one in "The Hall of Fame" than Jeff Jensen!

Expediters Hall of Fame
I posted this a few years back about having an Expediters Hall of Fame. I just would love to hear peoples thoughts on this. I think it would be a nice thing to start and have at the Expo each year. I would love to start this going with a few people like Linda and Bob Caffee, Leo, Lawrence, Dale, and a few others to maybe help on this. To get into the Expediters Hall of Fame, I feel the person has to have been in Expediting for maybe 10 to 20 years just for starts and so on. Let me know what you folks think.

Voting for the Expediters Hall of Fame

I have been working on the project of the Expediters Hall of Fame in my spare time and would like some input on things. Yes I started the web page and paid for everything out of my own pocket to get it started. But really I'm just the keeper of the site. The people are the ones that help make the rules on who goes in to the Exxpediters Hall of Fame. My goal is when we build our own building in a few years I would like to have a part of this build for the Expediters Hall of Fame.

I would like everyones input on this as to, should there be a group of people from the business to over see things? Who picks the people? When does everyone vote and where? Should it be like Baseball and you have to have a 75% vote to get in? I really would like everyone input, even the people that read the fourms from all the different carriers.

Oh I didn't plan to stop with doing the Expediters Hall of Fame. Just the webpage until things was talked about.
