Thanks Star! That's exactly what I wanted to see, a solo driver's view for the newbies!

Looks like you had a fairly steady month, how's that new truck doin?

I was doing this with the info from my day planner, so I went back and checked my logs. I delivered early AM the 18th, making it a 48 hour run. My bad.

I guess headquarters heard me yelling. My month will be topped off with Romulus, Mi. to Atlanta, Ga.

The truck's doing well, I really like it.

A straight solo, eh? I laugh because one of my brother-in-laws was surfing expediting sites out of curiosity. He asked us why so many people felt the need to identify themselves as straight truck drivers. He wondered if there were gay truck drivers too.

Do you think there are gays driving straights with a box? Nevermind... don't wanna know.

I am to lazy to figure the loaded miles and DH miles. Care to give those numbers? And do you consider that a very good month mile wise?

I'm with C&M.

This is a very good month. One of the best since I've been with them. These numbers don't include the Atlanta run.
1441 mt miles
8391 loaded miles
I consider that an acceptable loaded to mt ratio. I will contrast that with the numbers from August, which was my worst month.
3622 mt
4645 loaded

I took a trip out west and things didn't go well once I got there. I hope to never have a month that bad again.

Steve,
His mileage is very doable if you don't assume he got loaded late at night. 10K in a month is normal miles for OTR, and C&M is known for booking their solo drivers to keep them running.

I'm with you nightcreacher.......I don't know how he could log that many miles legally........have to admit though, had some good runs for a solo......:)

I could have easily, and very legally, logged more miles than that. I spent quite a bit of time in states with 70mph speed limits. If you look at the dates you can see that I had quite a bit of down time. El Paso, for example...

from your numbers, your averaging about 2400 miles a week, including mt and loaded miles.......I can see where you could do that......easily

I don't see where these numbers are a problem to do at all.that is only
what... i'm no math wizard by no means.2400+ miles a week what is hard about that heck even conventional trucking (truck load)average on a real
good week is anywhere from 2800-3000 miles a week.thats average.these numbers that he has are very doable.
