The Dish is off.

Three days ago the Dish was turned off and the 2 big screen TV's are silent. Things that do not happen now: No arguing over remotes, no being driven crazy by channel surfing, and no headline news stories that keep ones blood pressure keyed up.

No more 100 bucks a month to Dish. Yea................

Have rediscovered silence in the house and now we have dusted off the old CD's and playing music more and more. Well thats whats new on the farm..................

Check out your local library. I was amazed at the amount of free movies & CDs we could rent. Very handy on the road too.

The Dish is still off and the CD's are on random and all is still happy here. Lots of nice music, jazz, old 40s and 5os music. At night we put it on and off to sleep I go. Of course at 67 years young, my head hits the pillow and poof I am gone, but then at 4am or so my old expeditor system kicks in am at the coffee pot, geeeeeeeeeeze. I read more, but reading puts me to sleep to fast . I just cannot do that 8 hr reading thing some of my friends do and finish a book in a day or two.....how do they do that....
