The $12 showers

I just noticed that the showers @ pilot went up from $10 to $12. This is ridiculous as $10 wasn't too much to pay already.

I hope they keep the Professional Driver's card purchase of 14 gals = 1/2 shower credit the same.

That's certainly an incentive to get a Pilot Card, I'd think.

$12 dollars at TA and Petros too...which we use almost exclusively. Running a straight truck it isn't much of an issue for us. But you might also consider a YMCA membership, someone told me it's good at any Y and they typically have showers...not 100% positive on that though!

Cut your hair boot-camp style, get a gallon of white vinegar, some squirt bottles, make a 70/30 mix , 70 pct water, 30 pct vinegar, lots of wipes or blue paper towels, and clean that body good,,,u will be squeaky clean, vinegar evaporates and you can save over 200 month, there u go.. But since the average vanners gross is 65k a year,,showers fees aren't so bad.... PS, that 65k is for recreational vanners, hard core u know what to the wall gross near 85k a year..........profit is a sideline...lol

I already have the card, but having the card doesn't do me any good if I go days without getting loaded.

Dont be afraid to ask other drivers if they have an extra. I almost always have more than I am going to use.

For vanners (we don't get points anyway...just shower credits), I suggest having 2 or 3 friends that you trust and swap card numbers with. With a phone call or a text to verify that your buddy has some extra credits, you can be good to go pretty quick.

Like Zorry, I always have extras and don't mind sharing with a vanner in need. My name's on the driver's door, if you see me parked, just ask.

I have stopped people I see getting ready to pay for showers and give them one. My showers don't expire at the TA/Petro and I frequently have to purchase 75 gallons at a time to keep weight off of my steer axle so I will fuel 2 times a day.

Its not so much miles we have a deal whole shower for 15 gals.

Just a deal arranged, the only details I know is we swipe the card buy 15 gallons and get a whole shower. I guess its the art of deal making.

They have showers, but most arent private (unlike AF).You you can use your YMCA membership at most other YMCAs (each one has a slightly different policy (unlike AF).And most of the YMCA close around 9pm (unlike AF open 24hrs ) and there are over 2000 AF and counting..ive saved alot of money not worrying about Shower credits, and Truck Stops. Even though I still go to Pilot most of the time, because my Company gives me a rebate check from them..not much but it adds up. So I usually always have a shower credit on my card, if I need it.
