Well that idea worked well. Two parolees, both sex offenders, both wearing GPS tracking devices, worked together to rape and murder AT LEAST 4 women. To make matters worse, both had cut off GPS tracking devices in the past.

Yep, turning loose these kinds of convicts seems to be a really good idea. If we are not going to put this kind of scum to death they should as least be tossed into a deep, dark, damp, dungeon and the keys lost forever.

Those women's family SHOULD be able to sue the agencies who allowed this to happen for wrongful death. There is just no excuse. State and federal government SHOULD be held responsible when these things happen, that includes individuals on the parole board. After all, they are the one's who released these scum bags.

I can't wait to hear the liberal excuses for why this sort of thing could even happen. I am sure that they have some sort of BS to explain it away.

Don't see any personal attack by Layout on a particular member. Layouts last paragraph doesn't necessarily pertain to anyone in this forum. He could be asking the question and referring to responses from liberals in the general public. I mean, if someone has a problem with that last paragraph, and it breaks the 'code' , then might as well shut the soapbox down.

Nope. Even IF I wanted to I would not. One, I am not a LE officer, never had been, never trained for it. Two, I could not get elected in Monroe county, only Democrats can, and three, there is not enough room in the jail for those who need to be put there.

Now, getting back to the OP, this was the fault of a system that releases dangerous felons, in this case twice, without regard for the safety of the general, law abiding, public. What makes this one worse is that they already KNEW that these scumbags were willing to ignore parole conditions due to the fact that they had both cut off prior GPS tracking devices.

Once caught for that, they should have been locked up with ZERO chance of further parole.

It's not easy. FAR too many nut jobs in charge, THAT is for sure! Although, they do have the colors for the different states backwards, likely on purpose. The communist states, those that voted for Obama SHOULD be the "red" states.

What is a good enough penalty for any piece of cow dung that would be involved in "lewd or lascivious act with a child under 14 years of age or 14"? Castration would be at least a start.

It was a slur and insult, generally, against liberals.

It is my assumption that if one makes a rule, there is a reason for doing so, and that it was done with the intent of enforcing it in a fair and even-handed manner.

If wants wants to excuse and defend violations of a rule, that's certainly a call that one can make.

But it provides a context, in which all future enforcements of a particular rule will be viewed.

Cutting off a GPS tracking device is not proof that you can NEVER again be trusted in society for as long as you live... so no, life without parole is a sentence which does not fit the crime of cutting off a GPS tracking device. Their parole should have been revoked and they should have been returned to prison to serve the remainder of their sentence, plus an added few months for destruction of government property.

Yep, that is what you believe. I wonder what those 4, if not more, raped and murdered women could say after THEY were given a "death sentence"? What would their families say? Bet their outlook might be a tad different.

All this while "liberal" states, like California, are doing what ever they can to deny the People a chance to defend themselves. Since the state is taking over the safety, and security, of the citizens they should be doing a MUCH better job of it.

It was NOT the crime of cutting of the device, it was the act of cutting off those devices that shows that they had zero regard for the law or society. They went on, without any doubt, to prove that point, assuming that they are guilty of these rapes and murders. Once given a chance, and then flaunting the chance, no others should be given. If they had been in jail where they belonged, assuming they did this, those women would likely be alive and well today.

The FIRST set they cut off SHOULD have been a DIRE warning. It was NOT headed and now, assuming they are guilty of this, at LEAST 4 women were raped and murdered. We are FAR to soft and forgiving of criminals.

They did not DESERVE R&R in Vegas. They deserved to be locked away. They had already proven they were no good, and assuming they did this, confirmed it.

How many MORE chances after this one?
