Well - we have another year under our belt.

For the those who carved time out - I know for most of you it was a sacrifice with current fuel prices.

For those of you who missed it - we hope to see you next year.

Our show is a reflection on the state of expedite trucking. What I saw this year was a determination to succeed...in spite of the current economy. I came away with a energized commitment to make the event better for you...the Expediter.

I finally got to meet Phil and DaveKC too! Extra bonus.

Had lunch and fellowship with Dreamer. Almost didn't recognize him at first. My congratulations to Dale for his continued weight loss.

Met fellow expediters Jack and Gracie Berry and CharlesD. Wonderful folks to talk with.

Got to help a few folks with info about expediting while showing them my Aerocell.

Walked through many trucks getting ideas.

Hopefully we will all meet again at Expo 2009.

Terry brought up the suggestion of a signup board which is a great idea on who is in attendance at the Expo from the forums. We were able to meet with old acquaintances from the forums and put some faces with other members.

While talking to Eb Sprintin we discussed how much the forums are like family. We are a small enough group with many personalities and it is never boring. We are also a small enough group that we most likely will one day meet face to face which is great. When we think about how much of our time is devoted to EO it is amazing. We are constantly learning from the new people and the experienced people. Without EO and all of the characters our life would be very boring. Lawrence and EO have given us a great outlet to read and learn about our profession from many different people who are more than willing to lend a helping hand. We have met many people through EO that have become valued personal friends who we cherish. Most people feel lucky to have one mentor; through EO we have many mentors from many different companies. So hats off to Lawrence and EO as this forum and the Expo are a HUGE part of our lives.

Cannot wait for Expo 2009!

Thanks to McBride, and Phil, for the photos - it's a great way to show those who've never been to an Expo, what they missed.
For those who have been, though, one of the best parts is, as many mentioned, putting a face to the username, so here's a suggestion for the next one: have a photographer at the EO booth, to snap photos of members who stop by (with their permission, of course), for the forum members to enjoy.
Heck, if you could have hair & makeup pros available, (for a modest fee), it could be quite a popular attraction.....
