The tea party strikes again as tea party favorite and constitutional conservative Ted Cruz beats the establishment candidate David Dewhurst in the senate primary in Texas. For those who say the tea party is dead, do it at your own peril. The death of the tea party has been greatly exaggerated.:D

Hate to tell you, but the tea party was taken over by the Republicans. Therefore, Cruz IS establishment. They just want you to think you're getting what you want.

Now fall in line, soldier!

Sorry but this win was a joint effort of the tea party and freedom works. Cruz was in no way the establishment pick. Cruz is a constitutional small government guy. There is no real tea party With a central head so it cannot be taken over as you state. If you would take an honest look at the people they have helped elect you would know that.

Is everyone the establishment? Sheesh. Even when they aren't, you say they are. There just has to be someone out there who isn't establishment. There just has to be I tell ya. There just HAS TO BE! :D

"There's not need to fear! UNDERDOG is here!" Our hero UNDERDOG is NOT a member of the establishment.

This is how it is going to work. The CONGRESS is the key. THEY can control this IF they choose. Keep putting in those who are willing to do so, keep creating 'gridlock' and, in the fullness of time, things will straighten out. the trick is to find candidates that truly believe in our Constitution. There will not likely be a president that believes in the Constitution until both houses are controlled by those who do. THEN and ONLY then will enough of the People be on board to vote one in. The "makers" need to wake up and the the "takers" that the free ride is over.

Show me a post where I've said that, other than this one. You're painting me with a LOS brush.

The Republican establishment has their grubby paws too deep into the Tea Party.

Honest look at... hmm... Marco Rubio? Sorry... neo-con.

Got no use for Rubio. He is spouting "hand outs". Want those who medal in the game in London to NOT have to pay income tax on their winnings! He says that they should NOT have to pay tax on it since they do so MUCH for the country? REALLY? Like what? Maybe firefighters, who DO a lot for REAL should not have to pay taxes? More "gifts" for the "ball bouncers". Our priorities are REALLY screwed up in this country.

Completely agree with rubio on this. If they make other money from advertising or anything else they still pay taxes.

As far as I'm concerned, it's a gift, not income.

Gift? This much money to play? Firefighters put their lives on the line and pay taxes, the majority of U.S. firefighters risk their live for ZERO pay. They do FAR more for this nation than any ball bouncers do. They still pay taxes on EVERYTHING that they earn.

Gift? 25 grand is FAR more than a gift. A box of chocolates is a gift.

"Olympic medal winners earn $25,000 for a gold medal, $15,000 for a silver medal and $10,000 for a bronze medal. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) considers these earnings part of the athlete's income. Unlike most nations, the United States also requires its citizens to pay taxes on income earned out of the country."

Some people just have tax envy. I never really want to see anyone.pay more taxes myself i prefer to see everyone pay less. Seems like anytime something involves sports other than shooting you get all wound up.

Nope, you got it wrong. The U.S. shooting team would not have to pay tax on that INCOME either.

It's the idea, 40% don't pay taxes now. MOST of the 40% do NOTHING and those who do VALUABLE work PAY THE MOST! It makes NO sense. MORE taxes? What about just paying on what they EARNED! The U.S. military pays taxes on what they earn overseas, except for those in combat. Why should those who PLAY pay on what they earn? Better yet, pay NO taxes on ANY income that one EARNS!

Other than the 'no one should pay' what valid excuse is there for those games players not pay on that income?

I don't get 'wound up' over shooting sports either, Just my 2nd Amendment rights, which are being taken from me.

Ahh... here I thought they were taxing the actual medal. Hell yeah, tax it!

As far as your firefighter rant... irrelevant.

Just as example. At least firefighters do something of VALUE for the country. ONE news article stated that Rubio thought they should not be taxed because of the 'valuable service' they do for the nation. WHAT service for the nation? Bouncing balls? Twirling ribbons? Even shooting clay targets? (PROOF I don't only pick on ping pong players) LOL

Back to subject at hand.........

If anybody believes that Ted Cruz beat David Dewhurst because he had the backing of the "Tea Party"......then you're obviously not from Texas, nor do you understand what race is the most influential here in Texas now.......

"CRUZ" will get Ted Cruz the Senate seat being vacated by Kay Bailey Hutchison. It won't be the Tea Party or the Republican Party that places Cruz up there in Washington.....Hell, even if every "Caucasion" Republican Voter did not put a check next to Cruz's name coming this November.....he'd still win.

Texas IS becoming just another Suburb of Mexico.....Period. Unless Ted Cruz's Democratic opponent has the last name of Gonzalez or Rodriguez coming this November (Of which won't happen cause the Idiot Paul Sadler won the Democratic nomination), then Ted Cruz WILL be the next Senator reppin' Texas. The Hispanics in this state, of which are hard core Democrats, WILL ALL be voting for "CRUZ"......trust me.

Prime Example.......The Democratic Sherriff of Dallas County Lupe Valdez.

Lupe Valdez - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An Older Mexican Lady that never once walked a Beat as a "COP or Deputy" during her "Government Career". She was basically a "Desk Jockey" in the Criminal Justice System her whole life. When she retired from Government Service, she threw her hat in the ring to become a "Sheriff". Her last name of "Valdez" helped her beat out a 30 year Veteran of the Dallas Sheriffs Department. Basically, all the Mexican Voters in Dallas County made a mockery of our local voting process. She was the first Female Sheriff Dallas County as ever had.....and currently has been one of the worst Sheriffs Dallas County has ever had. But.......her name of Valdez keeps getting her re-elected.

So....don't kid yourself if you believe the Tea Party put Cruz as the Republican Choice for the Senator from Texas. Texas Mexicans put Cruz in line to replace Kay.....Period.
