Tell Me Why

Hi ladies, I am Tod, Cocos other half.

We came home Friday. It was hot and we hadn't showered since Wed night. After unloading the truck we were both ready for a shower.

We are in the process of adding a bedroom suite to our house. the bath and walk-in are done complete with new towels etc. and the bedroom is ready for carpet and furniture.

I want to know why the "new bath and the new towels" cannot be used until the whole thing is complete. Is this a girl thing?

Todd, Coco is 100% right do not use the new towels!! My gosh that could get you in a world of trouble. Consider the towels a decoration and you would never wipe your hands on a decoration. Also if there is a very nice soap in the dish do NOT use that either. That would also be considered destroying a decoration!!

Best thing you can do is go to one of the shops like bed bath and beyond. They have bath towels that are almost 6 feet long and 3 feet wide. Pick a color you like and buy yourself a couple. Then go to a target type store and buy soap/shampoo. Take your stuff in with you and don't touch any of the new stuff. Be sure to not even drip on it or breathe on it if you can help it. Now your towel and soap/shampoo etc. is fair game to get used right out from under you but don't even think about touching the new stuff.

Todd,
Just do what she says, and then go to the Pilot in Troy. It's about 20 miles away (I think)but keeps your life a lot more simple, and there is usually plenty of hot water!

Good Luck,
George

HI

I use to remodel houses and yes this is a girl thing. Now if you dont want to have to deal with this stuff in your own home I suggest you clean the bathroom. This will save you thousands of dollars.Which you can use to build a garage with a manly bathroom. You know the kind you clean with a pressure washer.

OMG!!! I can't believe he told on me! An he thinks I'm anal, you should see his garage. He has loaner tools and keeper tools marked with blue spray paint! He has an outline of every tool on a peg board and if you take it, it better go back to it's own little space. The mower had it's own parking space AND all his Disco tapes are in alphabetical order!!!!!:+

I can understand the tool thing... but DISCO TAPES??? In alphabetical order, nonetheless? I hope it's not under titles, as 75% of his collection would be under D for disco, or B for boogey. ROFLMAO

I like him already!

I thought may dad was the only guy who ever outlined the tools on the pegboard.

He was an aircraft mechanic for 25 years. I think it is a miltary thing, but it taught my brother and I to respect property.

I must be the only female that doesn't have a "deco" bathroom. I guess being the only female in a household of 5 for all those years,I never had a chance. Hahaha
I do identify with the garage thing, my hubby is just like that!! Everything in it's place, our sons used to get into sooooo much trouble for not putting things back.

Ruh roooh!!

I'm on the flip side here. I swear I'm straight, but I have my routine w/ towels & I split up w/ the last woman I lived w/ in part cuz she was a towel abuser!! =)

In a nutshell, I have 6 towels that I rotate. I use 2 per shower & use em for a week. One side has a design on it which I use to dry my hair. The other side is solid which I use to dry my body. I had dated this girl for a few months & everything was going great. So she moves in w/ me. No problems (for the first few days anyway)

She uses a towel #1 & drops it on the floor. Ok, no problem. I've got my 2 that I use & she can use the other 4. She uses towel #2 & does the same thing. No big deal. After she's used her 4, she then uses one of mine. Ok, so now I have one left. Then she uses that one. I guess she didn't think of doing laundry. Anyway, at the final towel, I'm kinda takin a peek at it & tryin to decide "ok, what part of this towel did she dry her backside off w/?" Call me a wuss, but I really didn't feel like using that part of the towel to dry my hair & face w/. =)

Yes, there were other challenges & that's why we didn't stay together. We lasted a week after we moved in together. This towel thread just kinda reminded me of all that. Come to think of it, had we not lived together we might have got married. Finding out what I did in our week together, divorce would have been a sure thing. By golly, maybe in the end those few towels saved me my house.

Be well,
Danny

This is a great post.

I know Tricia gets mad at me for not putting things back where they go. Women had to train us men on some things. Towels are one thing you don't move in the bath room maily if there for show. Have you every heard the man song.

Here is the song, just cleck on it if you want to hear it.

David, I LOVE that song!! It's Shawn Morey, and he also did "The Toddler Song", which is just as funny, if you've ever had a 3 year old around, lol. Thanks for the link - it's one to bookmark, for sure! :D

my wife informed me when we moved together that....'a towel has two sides. you dry one on the outsid eand use the inside the next day' okay i'm not that much a guy i can't do that. she has really nice hair towels as she has really nice thick hair. mine is gone so i shave the stubble and then hear about it in the strainer in the shower as the water rises above my ankles because it is chocked by shaving soap.)))

i can accept it all. the last 10 years have been great.

there is a sig out there that says it all.....if at first you don't succeed try doing it the way your wife told you.

as an aside can anyone tell me why my emoticons only go to my name and not where i want them?

Towels are one thing, how about the 15 pillows that land on the bed when it is made up and can't be used.
