I think I know this answer, but which is better for a D unit. Team or single? I assume a team would be the better option for the company to choose from because they have further depth in miles than a single driver.
You are correct in your assumption that teams are attractive to companies. I don't know of any recruiter that would ever walk away from a good straight truck team. But....
Some things to keep in mind when teaming:
How are you going to split the income with your partner, How will you keep track of who did what? For the most part successful expediting teams share the same household ie. Husband / Wife or the like. All the income goes into the same bank account thus eliminating a great source of bickering in the cab (which can make for some long rides).
