Talk about fast

I had the unique pleasure of driving a (please go to Google and put in Ford GT) sports car I thought I would never drive one like it.

Talk about Fast, Low, Sleek and an Engine well its hard to believe that 550hp does not make more noise ideling. When you get on it OH BOY Hang on. I just barley pushed it, there is nothing faster made on the road.

The car was loaded, as its all standard except for a upgraded stereo, and the crappy standard brakes were ripped off before it was delivered and some Italian brakes were installed. I had no idea this was a hundred and fifty thousand dollar car until I looked it up on Google, guy has $. And a very clean car. (s)

Ohh man, I'm green!

I love that new GT. It is one fine piece of work! Kudos to Ford on the styling on the GT and the newer Mustangs, both nice. I'm diggin' the new Charger, also. Probably won't be able to afford one, but heck, it's nice to dream.

Those are amazing cars. I had a run to Saleen a while back and got to tour the plant. They are built on dolly's that are manually rolled from one assembly point to the next when the technician is finished with his portion. Unfortunately I didn't get to drive or sit in one, but it was still really cool seeing the GT and Saleen Mustangs being built. Now if I can just get a run to Rausch that will be :+ too.

Broom,

I'm shocked that you didn't call me so I could get a spin as well!!
:'(

It's good to know that the owner isn't a "this car is to valuable to drive" kinda guy. If there has been any car in the last 10 or so years that was made for taking out and whuppin' on every once in a while, it's the GT!!

One of the really amazing things about the car is how well the styling holds up in today's world. When you consider that the original design dates back to the '60s, and it's still one of the sexiest looking rigs ever.:9

If Ford would do a few other models like this and reduce the price where they would not make a profit, it would be a good thing. They did it with the original GT and my favorite the Lincoln Mark II and can do it again to get the brand in everyone's mind.

I driven a bunch of Gts'(preproduction also) and wish I could afford one but I drive a truck, not a Ferrari. They are a sweet ride, not for Detroit area road though. The thing is Ford takes very good care of the people who buy them and they have somewhere (may have changed) a group of roving mechanics who do work on them - not many owners know about this service and Ford will not say much about it.

As for D-C's attempt to cash in on the past, I would like to see a two door charger like my '68 and '70 were. They got plastered all of trucks Super Bee, Super Bird and I even saw a cornet 500 stickered truck at a dealer. Come on D-C putting that on a pickup insults us Dodge owners.

I am not sure but I think you guys are talking about 2 different cars. There is a Ford GT (MSRP $155,000.00) and there is the Ford Mustang GT (MSRP $35,0000.00) The GT looks like a race car and the Mustang GT looks like a Mustang

That's Barney Oldfield's race car at Greenfield Village isn't it? My family is from Dearborn and Detroit and I used to get to go there every year when we would visit from Cali. Never got tired of it. Also there, real American cars that all were compared to when they ruled the road- Duesenbergs, loved Henry's gun and woodstove collection too.
Oh yeah, the Ford GT-40's- the car that gave Enzo a stroke. What a machine.
