This is a clip from 1944 of the Ross Sisters. If you listen to the words in the song, you can pick up the slang that young people were using back then. Where we have been saying "cool" from my generation, and it's still a word today, but has been replaced by "awesome", plus a few others of today's generation. Back in 1944, seems that the big buzz word was "solid", as in "solid jack"! After their song, watch the dance part of the act. I think they'd win Americas Got Talent today.

It hurt just watching them!! I noticed a couple in very interesting things compared to today's entertainers. They were by no means fat, but, they were not skinny. They looked healthy compared to many of today's stick people. The second thing is that they did not have to revert to overtly sexual lyrics or actions to produce quality work. Just pure talent. What movie was that from?
